Yool Privacy Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
Yool Innovations, Inc. ("Yool," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Yool website, online store, and related content, features, products, customer support, and services (collectively, the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform we use to offer the Services.
This Privacy Policy explains how Yool collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you visit or use the Services, make or inquire about a purchase, create an account, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Yool. It also describes privacy choices and rights that may be available to you.
If this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service concerning how we collect, use, or disclose personal information, this Privacy Policy controls. Additional notices presented when personal information is collected may supplement this Privacy Policy. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have received this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for particular processing, we will request consent separately or rely on another lawful basis.
Personal Information We Collect
"Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual or household. The meaning may vary under applicable law. Personal information generally does not include information that is lawfully made public, aggregated, or deidentified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to you.
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us, the Services you use, the technology involved, and applicable law. We may collect the following categories:
· Identifiers and contact information, such as name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account name, IP address, and other similar identifiers.
· Payment and financial information, such as payment method, billing details, transaction information, payment status, and limited payment-card information. Payment credentials are generally processed by Shopify or other payment providers, and the information available to Yool depends on the payment method and provider.
· Account and authentication information, such as username, password or authentication token, account preferences, security information, and saved settings.
· Commercial information, such as products viewed, searched for, added to a cart or wishlist, purchased, returned, exchanged, or cancelled; order history; product preferences; and interactions with promotions.
· Internet and device information, such as browser type, device type, operating system, network connection, IP address, device or advertising identifiers, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, interactions with the Services, and dates and times of access.
· Approximate location information, such as a general location inferred from an IP address. We do not intend to collect precise geolocation unless we provide a separate notice or request any consent required by law.
· Communications and customer-service information, such as messages, emails, reviews, survey responses, support requests, and other information you provide when communicating with us.
· Inferences, such as likely product interests or preferences derived from purchases or interactions with the Services.
· Other information you choose to provide, including content submitted through forms, product reviews, promotions, or customer-support channels.
Some information may be considered sensitive personal information under applicable law, such as account credentials or financial information. We use sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide requested products and Services, process transactions, maintain security, prevent fraud, comply with law, or for other purposes permitted by applicable law. Unless we provide a separate notice, we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Please do not send government identification numbers, health information, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email or other unsecured channels unless we specifically request it and provide an appropriate method.
Sources of Personal Information
We may collect personal information from:
· You, including when you browse, create an account, place or return an order, contact us, submit a review, join a promotion, or otherwise use the Services.
· Your device or browser, through cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, log files, and similar technologies.
· Shopify and other service providers, including providers of ecommerce hosting, payment processing, fraud prevention, analytics, customer support, fulfillment, shipping, communications, and cloud services.
· Advertising and business partners, including partners that help us measure campaigns, show advertising, or understand interactions with Yool across websites and services.
· Social networks or account integrations, if you choose to interact with Yool through those services.
· Other lawful sources, including affiliates, publicly available sources, and parties involved in corporate transactions or fraud and security investigations.
How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
· Provide and manage the Services, including operating the website and store; displaying products; creating and maintaining accounts; processing payments, orders, returns, exchanges, and refunds; arranging fulfillment and shipping; providing customer support; and remembering preferences.
· Personalize and improve Yool, including recommending products, understanding use of the Services, testing features, conducting analytics, troubleshooting, and improving products, content, operations, and customer experience.
· Communicate with you, including responding to inquiries and sending order, account, shipping, security, policy, and other transactional messages.
· Market and advertise, including sending promotional communications where permitted, measuring campaigns, and displaying or helping others display advertising based on interactions with Yool or, where permitted, activity across businesses, websites, or services.
· Protect Yool and others, including authenticating users, detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, security incidents, illegal activity, and violations of our terms; protecting customers, personnel, rights, property, and systems; and maintaining business continuity.
· Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including tax, accounting, recordkeeping, sanctions, consumer-protection, privacy, and lawful government requirements.
· Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, enforce contracts and policies, investigate disputes, and participate in legal or regulatory proceedings.
· Conduct corporate transactions, including evaluating or completing a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
· Use information with your direction or consent, or for another purpose disclosed when the information is collected.
Where laws require a lawful basis for processing, our bases may include performing a contract with you, taking steps at your request before entering a contract, complying with legal obligations, pursuing legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, protecting vital interests, and obtaining consent where required.
We may aggregate or deidentify personal information and use or disclose the resulting information for any lawful purpose. We will maintain and use information in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it except to test whether our deidentification processes comply with law.
Cookies Analytics and Advertising
We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, maintain security, understand performance, conduct analytics, and support advertising. Some technologies are necessary for site operation; others may be controlled through a cookie-preference tool where available.
We may work with analytics, advertising, and social-media partners that collect or receive information about your activity on the Services and other websites or services. Depending on the technology, purpose, and applicable law, this activity may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged.
Where required, you may opt out through our Your Privacy Choices page or a cookie-preference tool presented on the Services. We process qualifying opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, as required by applicable law. An opt-out signal generally applies to the browser and device from which it is sent. If we can reasonably associate the signal with your account, we may apply it at the account level as required by law.
Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not standardized, and we do not respond to them except where required. This statement does not affect our treatment of legally recognized opt-out preference signals.
Marketing Communications
We may send marketing by email, text message, or postal mail as permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may opt out of marketing text messages using the instructions in the message. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
Even after you opt out of marketing, we may send non-promotional messages concerning orders, accounts, security, policy updates, customer service, or other transactions. We may retain limited information necessary to record and honor an opt-out.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy to:
· Shopify, which hosts our store and provides ecommerce, analytics, security, personalization, and related services.
· Service providers and contractors, including payment processors, fraud-prevention providers, hosting and cloud providers, fulfillment centers, carriers, analytics providers, communications vendors, customer-support providers, professional advisers, and other vendors that process information for Yool.
· Advertising, analytics, and business partners, which may use information under their own privacy notices to measure or deliver advertising, provide integrations, or support joint activities. Where required, we provide a means to opt out of disclosures considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.
· Affiliates and corporate group members, for internal administration and the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
· Parties you direct or authorize, including delivery recipients, social networks, third-party integrations, or other parties to whom you ask us to send information.
· Government authorities and other third parties for legal, safety, and enforcement purposes, when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, property, or systems; investigate fraud or security incidents; enforce agreements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
· Parties to a corporate transaction, including actual or prospective buyers, investors, lenders, advisers, and other participants in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality or legal requirements.
We do not disclose personal information merely because it is requested by a private party. We may challenge, narrow, or decline requests that we reasonably believe are invalid, overbroad, or unlawful.
Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services to provide its platform and related features. Information submitted through the Services may be transmitted to Shopify and its providers in countries other than where you reside.
We may use Shopify features that rely on information about interactions with Yool, Shopify, and other merchants to provide analytics, security, personalization, or advertising. Depending on the feature and applicable law, Shopify may act as Yool's service provider or contractor, or may process information for its own disclosed purposes.
For more information, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Requests concerning Shopify's independent processing may also be submitted through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Third Party Websites and Services
The Services may link to websites, applications, social networks, or services operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own notices and terms. Yool does not control and, to the extent permitted by law, is not responsible for those practices merely because we provide a link or integration.
Information posted in a public or semi-public area, including a public review or social-media platform, may be visible and used by others. Do not post information you want to keep private.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain accounts, complete transactions, honor preferences, comply with tax and recordkeeping obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
Retention periods vary based on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, operational needs, applicable limitation periods, legal requirements, and whether the information can be deleted, aggregated, or deidentified. When personal information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, deidentify, or securely isolate it, subject to lawful exceptions and technical limitations such as backup cycles.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in light of its nature and the risks involved. No security measure, system, storage method, or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for using appropriate security measures on your devices. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or interaction with Yool has been compromised. Do not send sensitive or confidential information through unsecured channels.
International and Cross Border Processing
Yool is based in the United States. We and our providers may store and process personal information in the United States, Canada, and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or regulators under that jurisdiction's laws.
Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or other lawful transfer mechanisms. For Canadian personal information transferred to a provider outside Canada, Yool remains accountable as required by applicable law and uses contractual or other measures appropriate to the circumstances.
Children
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. We also do not knowingly sell or share, as those terms are defined by applicable law, personal information of consumers under 16 without the legally required authorization.
If local law provides a higher minimum age for consent to the relevant processing, we follow that law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a manner prohibited by law, contact us. We will review the request and delete or otherwise address the information as required.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to:
· request access to or confirmation of personal information we process about you;
· obtain categories or specific pieces of personal information and information about its sources, purposes, and recipients;
· request correction of inaccurate personal information;
· request deletion of personal information;
· receive a portable copy of certain personal information;
· withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
· object to or restrict certain processing;
· opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
· limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information;
· appeal our decision concerning a privacy request; and
· receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
These rights are not absolute. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, such as when we cannot verify your identity, an exception applies, fulfillment would adversely affect another person's rights, or information must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transactional, or recordkeeping purposes.
To exercise a right, use a method made available on the Services, visit our Your Privacy Choices page where applicable, email support@yoolgoods.com, or call +1 626-522-1888. Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant records.
We may verify your identity by matching information you provide with our records or requesting additional information appropriate to the sensitivity of the request. We will use verification information only for verification, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. If we cannot verify a request, we may be unable to fulfill it. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You may use an authorized agent where permitted. We may require proof that the agent is authorized and may ask you to verify your identity or confirm the request directly, unless law provides otherwise. For opt-out requests, we will not require verification beyond what applicable law permits.
If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us using the methods above and stating that you are submitting an appeal. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.
California Privacy Notice
This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for California residents. It applies only to the extent Yool is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended ("CCPA"). Terms defined by the CCPA have the same meanings in this section.
During the preceding 12 months, Yool may have collected the categories of personal information described below. The examples are illustrative, and the information actually collected depends on your interaction with us.
· Identifiers, such as name, contact details, account identifiers, IP address, and similar identifiers.
· Personal information described in California Civil Code section 1798.80, such as contact, payment, and transaction information.
· Protected classification characteristics, only if you voluntarily provide them or they are reasonably necessary and lawful for a particular interaction.
· Commercial information, such as purchase, return, cart, wishlist, and product-interest information.
· Internet or other electronic network activity, such as browsing, device, cookie, and interaction information.
· Approximate geolocation, such as a general location derived from an IP address.
· Audio, electronic, or similar information, if you communicate with us through a channel that creates such a record.
· Professional or employment-related information, if you provide it in a business inquiry or employment context.
· Inferences, such as preferences or likely interests derived from other information.
· Sensitive personal information, such as account credentials and payment information, used only for permitted business purposes unless otherwise disclosed.
We collect these categories from the sources described in Sources of Personal Information and use them for the purposes described in How We Use Personal Information. We may disclose them to the recipient categories described in How We Disclose Personal Information.
We do not sell personal information for money. Certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA. During the preceding 12 months, Yool may have sold or shared identifiers, commercial information, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, and related inferences with advertising, analytics, or business partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 without the authorization required by law.
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information about Yool's collection and disclosure practices; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive nondiscriminatory treatment. Instructions for exercising these rights appear in Your Privacy Rights and Choices. You may also use a recognized opt-out preference signal as described in Cookies Analytics and Advertising.
Yool does not offer a financial incentive or price or service difference in exchange for personal information unless we provide a separate notice describing the material terms and obtain any consent required by law.
Canadian Residents
If you are in Canada, Yool processes personal information in accordance with applicable federal and provincial privacy laws. Depending on the circumstances and your province, you may have rights to access and correct personal information, withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, and complain to the appropriate privacy regulator.
We collect, use, and disclose personal information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances and obtain consent where required. Consent may be express or implied depending on the sensitivity of the information and reasonable expectations. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed and may prevent us from providing a requested product or service where the information is necessary for that purpose.
Questions or complaints may be directed to Yool's privacy contact listed below. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy commissioner. Quebec residents may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. Cross-border processing is described in International and Cross Border Processing.
European Economic Area United Kingdom and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, receive portable information, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work or where an alleged infringement occurred.
Where required, Yool relies on the lawful bases described in How We Use Personal Information. If we transfer personal information to a country not recognized as providing adequate protection, we use an approved transfer mechanism where required, such as standard contractual clauses, together with supplementary measures when appropriate.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, Services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent if required by applicable law. Unless law permits otherwise, a revised policy applies prospectively from its effective date.
